Channel Manager (OTA)

Fill up open spaces at your center by connecting with an Online Travel Agency.

We’ve partnered with channex.io to develop a Channel Manager to connect with online travel agencies like AirBnb, Booking.com, VRBO and Expedia. They support over 100 different integrations.

With this feature, room availability is synchronized across all your channels and bookings on other channels show up as registrations in Retreat Guru within minutes.

1. Price and availability is sent to the channels
2. Registrations and cancellations are sent from the channels to Retreat Guru.
3. Everything stays in sync!

When the Channel Manager feature is enabled you will see a new program titled Channel Manager. Before setting up this program please ensure you have set up the rooms on your desired channel(s) first.

Important Note: We are currently unable to support whole facility/building bookings without manually blocking out availability. This feature is best used for individual room bookings.

Set Up:

Program:

• Select Room Types in the Program Information Tab > Pricing Options you wish to include in your connected channels. SAVE (must save changes to sync with channex.io).
• Information Tab > Manage Channel Connections you will see the channex.io window.  Click Create to add your first channel.
  
• Select the channel you wish to connect.
• When creating your channel name/title it's best practice to include your retreat center name within the title.

    • For other channels please select the channel from the menu on the left in one of the above links, under Channel Mapping Guides.

Email

• Typically, the channel will send confirmation emails to the guest regarding their booking. Most centers have disabled emails on the Channel Manager program within Retreat Guru to simplify this process.

Rooms

• The Channel Manager integration only supports hotel style room types.
• Utilize Room Blocks to help ensure you have your program bookings prioritized.

Cancellations

When a cancellation is submitted on a channel, Retreat Guru will cancel the registration as well as the transactions associated with it.

Transaction Items

Transaction items will automatically be categorized as Channel Manager.

Fund Methods

A custom Channel fund method is created and set as a default for all channel payment transactions.

*This can be adjusted to a different custom fund method by the Retreat Guru support team if required.

Accounting Mode

When Accounting Mode is enabled the payment transaction will default to Pending.

If Accounting Mode is disabled the payment transaction will default to Complete.
