How do payments for marketplace bookings work?

Enabling payments on your Retreat Guru marketplace listing means that potential participants will have a greater chance of finding and booking your retreat.

Viewers can book and pay a 14% deposit via credit card right from your listing.

When someone books a stay at your center, you will automatically receive an email notification.

What benefits are there to enabling payments on the marketplace?

It can dramatically increase your number of confirmed, paid bookings!

And, you'll get paid more quickly.

What fees are associated with taking payments?

All bookings initiated through the Retreat Guru marketplace are subject to a 14% commission. Retreat Guru charges this fee so we can continue to grow, supporting more people to go on transformative retreats! This 14% of the total retreat price is taken as a deposit from the participant.

How do I collect the rest of my payment?

The arrangement for payment of the balance due takes place between you and the participant.

What happens if someone books & pays for my retreat, but doesn't pass my application criteria?

If someone books with you, but you decide to not accept their registration, you can reject their booking. Retreat Guru will refund their transaction in full. There is no cost to you for this. We advise that you include a notice on your event page that, "Your registration is not confirmed until (your center name) have accepted it."

Guest Cancellation Policies

You can choose from one of our three cancellation policies:

• Flexible - the event is 100% refundable if cancelled 30+ days before the event start date. The event is 50% refundable if cancelled 15-29 days before the start date. There's no refund for cancellation 0-14 days before an event. The retreat host will contact you about payment of the remaining balance.
• Moderate - the event is 100% refundable for cancellation 60+ days before the event start date. The event is 50% refundable if cancelled 30-59 days before the start date. The retreat host will contact you about payment of the remaining balance.
• Strict - for this retreat experience, all deposits are non-refundable. The retreat host will contact you about payment of the remaining balance.

How do I report a booking that I received from Retreat Guru but booked offsite?

If you've received a lead from the marketplace and happened to book offsite you can let us know at accounting@retreat.guru.
